I'm taking on 31 Miles this May for Mental Health UK
Over the past few months, my boys have experienced a significant loss, and it’s brought mental health into even sharper focus for us as a family. It’s made me realise just how important it is that no one struggles in silence — that people feel supported, understood, and able to ask for help.
I’m doing this not just to raise awareness, but to teach my boys something I never want them to doubt — that their mental health matters, that it’s okay to talk, and that they never have to carry things on their own.
I’ll be taking on this challenge to try and turn something so difficult into something positive, and if I can get them involved in any of the runs along the way, I will 🤍
I’ve set a small target of £, as this is more about raising awareness and supporting one another — which is priceless.
If anyone would like to join me for a mile or two along the way, you’d be more than welcome 🤍
If you can support, donate or share, it would mean so much.

My Updates
Day 15 💚💙💛
Saturday 16th MayHalfway through Mental Health Week and today’s lunchtime challenge walk was a reminder of how important it is to take a step away from the desk, get some fresh air and just check in with each other 💚
Really enjoyed getting out for a walk with my colleague and manager today while continuing the challenge — every mile, every conversation and every little bit of support matters.
Mental health isn’t always visible, which is why kindness, connection and simply making time for people can make such a difference. Proud of how far we’ve all come already 👣✨
Day 13 of 31 Miles in May for Mental Health 💚 15 miles completed so far!
Wednesday 13th MayTonight was a tough one and I really struggled on my run, so it ended up being more of a jog/walk than I’d planned. But I’m still proud I showed up and kept going ❤️
Sometimes it doesn’t even have to be one significant thing, it can just be the pressure of juggling everything on your own, carrying responsibilities constantly and not getting chance to properly recharge. Eventually it catches up with you.
Luke joined me at the end with Holly and honestly the laughs and company were exactly what I needed 🫶
A reminder that not every day has to go perfectly. Be proud of what you can do, especially on the hard days 💚
Day 12 💚💛💙
Tuesday 12th MayDay 12/31 💚
May is definitely turning out to be much busier than I expected, with lots of things popping up and disrupting plans along the way. But one thing I’m determined about is still completing this challenge 👣
Tonight’s miles were with my lovely Aunty Dawn and Holly🐾 Sometimes a simple walk, catch up and fresh air is exactly what’s needed ✨
Day 6 of the mental health challenge 💚💛💙
Wednesday 6th MayToday I’d planned to do another run to try and chip away at the miles, but life got in the way and it wasn’t possible.
Thankfully I’d already taken the dog for a walk earlier in the evening, so I still managed to get outside and get moving.
I think this is the reality of life sometimes, things don’t always go to plan, and that’s okay. The important thing is learning to readjust instead of giving up completely, and giving yourself credit for the things you have managed to do.
Tomorrow is a new day. Whatever you didn’t manage today, you can try again with tomorrow ❤️
Carrying more than we show 🤍
Monday 4th May
Day 4 – Don’t forget yourself 🤍
Monday 4th MayDay 4 of my 31 miles in May 💚💛💙
We get so used to holding everything together, being there for everyone else, and just pushing through… that we forget to look after ourselves.
But it catches up with you. Not always in a big obvious way, sometimes it’s just feeling drained, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself.
Tonight reminded me how important it is to pause.
It doesn’t have to be anything big.
Just a walk. Some fresh air. A moment to breathe.
Looking after yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.
Thank you for all the support 🤍 it means more than I can say.
If you’re struggling, even quietly… take that moment 🫶
