Memories Matter: why we GLOW

By taking part in GLOW, you'll help raise vital funds that enable Mental Health UK to support individuals, families and communities through information, advice and mental health services.

Together, we can create a future where everyone has the support they need to thrive.

This year, we're proud to bring our Memories Matter space to GLOW London. It's a place to pause, reflect and celebrate the people, moments and experiences that mean the most to us.

Whether you're attending in memory of someone special, supporting someone you care about, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the connections that shape your life, you'll be invited to share your story and be part of something meaningful.

Our GLOW walkers share why they are took on this 20km walk and fundraised for better mental health support.

Every walker has a story

"Completing the walk was rewarding in a way that helped me feel good mentally, physically and boosted my self-esteem as I felt I had a purpose in contributing to such an important movement."

"Doing this walk to celebrate me coming out of a dark place. I feel thankful I am still here and want to help others"

Expect an unforgettable evening

Taking part in GLOW mental health charity walk means you can walk and talk with others who are passionate about mental health, and together, you’ll be helping people across the UK to better understand and manage their mental health.

We want to be one of the city’s featured sights that night, so dressing up is encouraged! Be it glow sticks, luminous face paint, fairy lights, or fun clothes.

Friendly dogs are welcome and can dress up too. Please note that those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

At the end of the circular route, there will be a medal waiting for you, as well as fantastic memories and a well-deserved feeling of achievement that will last a lifetime.
