31 Miles to make a difference
This May, I’m taking on 31 miles for Mental Health UK. This cause is incredibly close to my heart. I’ve seen first hand how heavy the burden of mental health can be through my own personal struggles and those of my family.
Tragically, I also lost a close friend to suicide. I feel that the mental health team and the systems in place failed them when they needed help the most. I’m walking these miles in their memory and for anyone else who feels like they are fighting alone or being let down by the support available.
No one should have to fight for the right to be saved. I am doing this because I don’t want another family to feel this emptiness, and I don't want another person to be a "missed opportunity" by the system. Every mile I cover is a reminder that we have to do better.
Every penny raised helps ensure people get the support they need, exactly when they need it most. Thank you for your support.

31 Miles for Memory and Change
Thursday 23rd AprHi everyone, I’m Albie.
As many of you may have seen, I’ve decided to take on the 31 Miles in May challenge for Mental Health UK. This isn't just about getting outside or hitting a step count; for me, these miles represent a journey through some of the hardest parts of my life.
I’m walking for my own journey, for my family’s resilience, and most importantly, in memory of a close friend i lost far too soon.
Why am I stepping up?
It’s no secret that our mental health systems are struggling. Having seen a friend let down by the very people meant to help them, I’ve realized that we can't just stay silent. We need better support, faster responses, and a system that actually catches people before they fall.
I’m turning my frustration and my grief into movement.
My Goal
Over the course of 31 days in May, I’ll be out there regardless of the weather. Every mile is a tribute to those we’ve lost and a reminder to anyone struggling right now that you are not alone, even when it feels like the system has forgotten you.
How you can join me
I’m aiming to raise £100 to help Mental Health UK provide the resources and advocacy that were missing when my friend needed them most.
• Donate: Even a small amount makes a massive difference.
• Share: If you can’t donate, please share my page to help spread awareness.
• Check-in: Reach out to someone today. You never know who is fighting a silent battle.
Thank you for all the donations I’ve received already since uploading my profile. Let’s make every mile count. 💚
