I'm taking on 31 Miles this May for Mental Health UK
This May, I’m committing to walking 31 miles for Mental Health UK — one mile for every day of the month, and for every person who’s ever quietly carried more than they let the world see. Mental health is something incredibly close to my heart. It shapes our relationships, our work, our confidence, our energy, and the way we move through the world. And yet, so often, the hardest struggles are the ones that stay hidden.
Like many people, I’ve seen how quickly life can shift — how stress, grief, burnout, or unexpected change can pull the ground from under you. I’ve also seen the difference it makes when someone has the right support at the right time. A conversation. A resource. A safe space. A reminder that they’re not alone. Those things can change the entire trajectory of a person’s life.
That’s why I’m doing this.
Mental Health UK works across communities, schools, workplaces, and homes to help people build resilience, understand their mental health, and access support before things reach crisis point. Their work is practical, compassionate, and genuinely life‑changing. Every mile I walk is a small way of honouring the people who are fighting battles you can’t see — and the people who show up for them.
I’m not doing this for medals or records. I’m doing it because I believe in the power of small steps, taken consistently, to create real change. I’m doing it because mental health deserves the same visibility, care, and urgency as physical health. And I’m doing it because if even one person feels less alone because of the work Mental Health UK does, then every mile is worth it.
If you’re able to support me — whether by donating, sharing the fundraiser, or simply cheering me on — I’d be incredibly grateful. Your contribution helps someone get the support they need, when they need it most.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
