London Landmarks Half Marathon for Mental Health UK

I'm taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Mental Health UK!

I want to make a difference to people affected by mental health problems. Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. Let's turn awareness into action and create a brighter future for all.

Mental Health UK is dedicated to providing essential support and resources to individuals and families affected by mental health challenges. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, they are at the forefront of driving positive change within the mental health landscape.

Time to shine

Friday 25th Apr
It’s been something I should of done years ago, ive been a runner for nearly 10 years on and off but last February I decided I wanted to change my life for the better, I started back in the gym and just doing 5k every time I went before I did the weight session and ended up falling back in love with it. I’ve been constantly running theses for a year and my partner then wanted to get into running and she wanted to get some achievements in so I have decided to up my distance and help her with her running journey. We currently got the Newcastle 10k to do this year and then we have decided to run the London half marathon because it’s something both we wanted to do and wanted to see how we did before trying to do the full marathon. We also wanted to make a difference to other people and other things that happens in people’s lives that sometimes are really hard to cope with and with this is mind I wanted to do something for the mental health uk course due to us both suffering throughout are time with mental health and understand fully the struggles it can course on life and people so if I could raise a little bit of something to support others who have struggled why wouldn’t I want to do that so this is my time to give something back to some other people who might need the extra support help or even someone just to talk to so it’s with a great pleasure I get to run it for this charity. Anything anyone could give to support this just understand I’ll be so grateful for and it is going to such a good charity.
Anyway I’ll keep you posted on are journey, today we smashed both are longest run and did amazing so it’s looking good for us both with are training so far.
