Mental Health UK draws upon the local expertise of its four founding charities across the UK, who support us to deliver projects that are tailored to an area's specific needs.

That's why all the money raised through GLOW Edinburgh will fund services delivered in Scotland by one of the founding charities, Change Mental Health.

They provide transformational support for people, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need, when they need it, in a way that works for them.

The money you raise will also help to change societal attitudes, fight stigma and influence government, to ensure a better life for those affected by mental illness.

About The Event

Join us in our first year of GLOW Edinburgh to fundraise and make a difference.

You can take part solo or get friends and family together as a team.
Bring some lights and glowsticks, see some Edinburgh sights and unite with others who want to help raise vital funds for people affected by mental ill health.

This 20km walk will take on average, four hours to complete and the circular route through the city is sure to get you GLOWING!

Please note children 16 and under can take part but don't need to register. They must be accompanied by a guardian age 18 and over at all times.

The GLOW experience

Taking part in GLOW mental health charity walk means you can walk and talk with others who are passionate about mental health, and together, you’ll be helping people across the UK to better understand and manage their mental health.

We want to be one of the city’s featured sights that night, so dressing up is encouraged! Be it glow sticks, luminous face paint, fairy lights, or fun clothes.

Friendly dogs are welcome and can dress up too. Please note that those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

At the end of the circular route, there will be a medal waiting for you, as well as fantastic memories and a well-deserved feeling of achievement that will last a lifetime.
