Paris Marathon 2027 Charity Place Agreement
By accepting a Mental Health UK charity place in the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris 2027, I confirm that:
- I understand that I am accepting a charity place provided by Mental Health UK and agree to actively fundraise for Mental Health UK.
- I will make every reasonable effort to achieve the minimum fundraising target of £750.
- I will complete all event registration requirements and deadlines set by both Mental Health UK and the event organiser.
- I understand that Mental Health UK may contact me by email, phone, SMS and WhatsApp in relation to my participation in the event. This may include event updates, travel and logistics information, fundraising support, training and preparation content, and other communications necessary to support my participation in the Paris Marathon 2027.
- I understand that marathon running is a physically demanding activity and confirm that I am responsible for ensuring I am medically fit to participate and will seek medical advice if required.
- I understand that participation is at my own risk and that Mental Health UK cannot accept responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, damage, expense or other incident arising from my participation in the event, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
- I understand that I am responsible for arranging and funding my own travel, accommodation, insurance, passport, visa and any other requirements associated with travelling to and participating in the event.
- I understand that donations made in support of my fundraising are made directly to Mental Health UK and cannot be refunded if I withdraw from the event.
- I agree to conduct my fundraising in a lawful, safe and responsible manner and in accordance with any guidance provided by Mental Health UK.
- I understand that photographs, video footage, social media content and other media may be captured during the event or shared by me with Mental Health UK. I agree that Mental Health UK may use such content for fundraising, marketing, promotional and reporting purposes unless I notify Mental Health UK in writing that I do not wish my image or content to be used.
- I understand that Mental Health UK will process my personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy for the purposes of administering my participation in the event, communicating with me about the event (including via WhatsApp where applicable) and supporting my fundraising. Participation in these WhatsApp communications is optional, and I may opt out at any time by notifying Mental Health UK.
- I understand that failure to comply with these terms or the event organiser's rules may result in my charity place being withdrawn.
