I'm taking on 30 Miles this November for Mental Health UK

This November, I'm taking on 30 Miles in November to raise money for Mental Health UK.

I'm walking, running or rolling 30 miles throughout the month to help ensure more people can access the mental health support they need, when they need it most.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Mental Health UK continue providing vital services, information and support to people across the UK.

If you're able to, I'd be so grateful if you could sponsor me. Your support will help keep me motivated throughout the challenge and make a real difference to people's lives.

Thank you so much for your support!

My mental health journey

Monday 19th Oct
Mental health is something incredibly close to my heart and something i'm very passionate about because this isn’t just a cause I care about it’s something ive lived with myself for most of my teenage/adulthood life.

From as far as i remember i've struggled with my mental health, living with depression, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), panic attacks and ADHD. Last year, I reached a real difficult point in my life and thought the world was better off without me. It was an awful experience and it’s something that has had a huge impact on me.

I know how overwhelming it can feel when your own mind becomes your biggest battle and it never shuts off. I know what it’s like to struggle behind a smile and to mask how your really feeling and to have days when even the simplest things feel impossible, and to feel the loneliness and exhaustion that mental health can bring.

This is why ive chosen to fundraise for Mental Health UK. 💗 Their work to improve understanding of mental health, build resilience and help people access support is something I believe in and want everyone to be heard!

I want to turn some of my own experiences into something positive and help make a difference to other people who may be going through their darkest days. Nobody should have to feel ashamed of struggling with their mental health as i know i did for years and nobody should feel alone in their battle.

Mental health doesn’t always look the way people expect it to, you can still be happy and smile and carry on with everyday life while fighting battles that other people know nothing about.

If my fundraising can help raise awareness, support the work of Mental Health UK or help even one person feel understood and heard then it will mean everything to me.

It’s about my own journey and the challenges ive struggled with and my hope that things can get better not just for me, but for everyone struggling with their mental health. 💖

Lets break the stigma and spread awareness and remind people that they are never alone. 💗🫶🏼
