Running the Athens Marathon for Mental Health UK
Hello, I’m Raúl.
This November, I’ll be running the Athens Marathon — not just as a personal challenge, but as part of my journey towards recovery from severe depression and anxiety, and to raise funds for Mental Health UK.
The past year has been incredibly difficult. Like many, I’ve faced mental health struggles that at times felt overwhelming. I’ve found that setting goals, staying physically active, and reaching out for support have been key parts of my recovery.
Training for a marathon is my way of staying motivated and moving forward — both mentally and physically. It’s also a chance to contribute to a cause I deeply believe in. Mental Health UK does invaluable work supporting people affected by mental illness, raising awareness, and reducing stigma across the UK.
I’m hoping to raise £600 to support their work. Every donation — big or small — will go directly towards helping others access the mental health care and support they need.
If you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this page — it truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support.
Raúl
