London Landmarks Half Marathon for Mental Health UK

I'm taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Mental Health UK!

I want to make a difference to people affected by mental health problems. Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. Let's turn awareness into action and create a brighter future for all.

Mental Health UK is dedicated to providing essential support and resources to individuals and families affected by mental health challenges. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, they are at the forefront of driving positive change within the mental health landscape.

The Pandemic Changed Me: Why I Now Run for Mental Health

Tuesday 20th Oct

💙 Why running for Mental Health UK means so much to me.

As a healthcare professional who worked through the COVID-19 pandemic, this cause holds a very special place in my heart.

During the pandemic, I witnessed how much pressure healthcare workers, patients and families faced. We were navigating uncertainty, fear, loss and emotional exhaustion while continuing to care for others. It reminded me that behind every uniform, every smile and every brave face, there is a human being who can struggle too.

The pandemic showed us that mental health matters just as much as physical health. It taught us how important it is to check on one another, recognise when someone is struggling, break the stigma and make sure people feel supported rather than alone.

For me, running is more than a sport. It is my way of looking after my own wellbeing, clearing my mind, managing stress and building resilience. It gives me space to breathe when life feels overwhelming.

That is why running for Mental Health UK feels so personal. I am not just running miles; I am running for awareness, for hope, for those who are struggling in silence, and for everyone who needs to know that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Every mile has a purpose. Every donation can help make a difference. And every conversation about mental health can help break down the barriers that stop people from seeking support.

💙 I care for others through my profession. Now, I want to use my passion for running to help others beyond it.

Together, we can remind people that nobody should have to face their struggles alone.

🏃‍♀️ Every mile matters. Every mind matters. Every person matters.
