I’m Running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Mental Health UK

Friday 4th Sep

In April 2027, I will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for Mental Health UK, and I need to raise at least £350.

Mental health is something incredibly close to my heart, both personally and professionally. I have worked in mental health for more than ten years and now run my own private therapy practice, MB Counselling and Coaching.

As an integrative therapist and clinical supervisor, I support both adults and young people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including eating disorders, OCD, trauma, anxiety, depression and the challenges that can sometimes come alongside neurodivergence.

Through my work, I see how deeply mental health difficulties can affect every part of someone’s life, not only the individual, but also their family, relationships, education and work. I also see the difference that compassionate, timely and appropriate support can make.

Unfortunately, many people still struggle to access the help they need. Some face long waiting lists, while others may feel frightened, ashamed or unsure about asking for support. Nobody should have to reach crisis point before they feel heard.

Mental Health UK provides information, advice and practical support to help people understand and manage their mental health. Its work also helps to challenge stigma and create a future where people feel able to talk openly about their experiences.

Running has become an important part of looking after my own physical and emotional wellbeing. Training for a half marathon is not always easy, but having such a meaningful reason to keep going will make every early alarm, difficult training session and long run worthwhile.

My fundraising target is £350, and I would be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Every contribution will help Mental Health UK continue supporting people affected by mental health difficulties.

If you are unable to donate, sharing my fundraising page would also mean so much and could help me reach more people.

Thank you for supporting me, Mental Health UK and everyone who deserves access to compassionate mental health support.
