Fundraising for Mental Health UK. Inspire to Inspire.

I will be running the Dublin Marathon 2025 for the Mental Health UK Charity, on the 26th October 2025.
Running has become my therapy in life. Its hard but if you stick with it and go easy on yourself, in time it becomes easier and then enjoyable.
In 2022 I lost a very close family friend to suicide. He was the biggest personality and someone I grew up with, a special talent in so many ways and left us too early!

Running the Dubin Marathon is a small part of increasing and driving positive change within the mental health landscape.
Together, we can make a difference.
My aim is to complete the big 6 in the coming years (Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York) in Josh's name.
Dublin is the start of my marathon journey, with Endurance Northumberland (Half marathon), Allendale Challenge (26 mile fell race) and The Great North Run (Half marathon) part of the 2025 training process.

Endurance Life, Northumberland. Trail Half Marathon
Monday 24th Feb
On Saturday I completed the Endurance Life, Trail Half Marathon.
My first trail half marathon and it was brutally hard. Road running is x10 times easier. Starting at Craster on the Northumberland coast and running up the dunes, beaches and towns to get too the finish at Bamburgh Castle.
I had to dig deep. 70% was running on the beach and the sand sapped my legs. Got a time of 1:44, reasonably happy, as I wanted to break 1:40 in my first trail. But, I learned a lot and will get back into training mode now.
Allendale Challenge is next on the 5th May. A 26 mile fell walk / run.
When it got hard, I remembered why I am doing this. Josh got me through it!

Training runs...
Monday 17th Feb
I like to get a long training run done on a Sunday.
This weekend I ran from Gateshead over Tynemouth to meet the lads for some earned food and watch the football.
It’s a tough run, relatively flat but I tried to keep my time steady and average page at around 4.30/km…
Last long run before Entrance Life Half Marathon on Saturday. https://www.endurancelife.com/northumberland
