I'm taking on 30 Miles this November for Mental Health UK

This November, I'm taking on 30 Miles in November to raise money for Mental Health UK.

I'm walking, running or rolling 30 miles throughout the month to help ensure more people can access the mental health support they need, when they need it most.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Mental Health UK continue providing vital services, information and support to people across the UK.

If you're able to, I'd be so grateful if you could sponsor me. Your support will help keep me motivated throughout the challenge and make a real difference to people's lives.

Thank you so much for your support!

About me

Thursday 22nd Oct

Hi, I’m John, also known as Rocco.

Five years ago, I was at the lowest point in my life. I was struggling severely with my mental health, and I reached a point where I felt there was no way out. I attempted to take my own life three times.

It was an incredibly dark period, and one I never thought I’d find my way through.

But something needed to change.

I became involved in online child protection, and little did I know just how much that decision would change my life. It gave me something I’d lost — a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning, and a reason to keep going.

With the support of some truly amazing people, I slowly began rebuilding my life, my confidence and my mental health.

Today, I’m in a much better place, and I will always be grateful to those who stood by me when I needed them most.

Now it’s my turn to give something back.

This November, I’m taking on the 30-mile walking challenge in support of Mental Health UK.

I’m doing this because I know firsthand how devastating mental health struggles can be. I also know that with the right support, things really can get better.

If sharing my story helps even one person realise they’re not alone, then it’s worth it.

Every mile I walk is a reminder of how far I’ve come, and every donation will help support someone who might be fighting their own battle.

Five years ago, I was fighting to stay alive. Today, I’m walking 30 miles to help others find the strength to keep going. 💚

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, both then and now.

It’s okay not to be okay. And it’s okay to ask for help.
