28 Miles in February for mental health

Sunday 1st Feb

Hi, I’m Emma, and this February I’ll be walking 28 miles to support mental health. Mental health is something I care massively about, as I’ve struggled for a long time following past trauma, and I’ve also seen how deeply it can affect others. I love listening, supporting, and helping where I can. Working in the veterinary industry also means I see first-hand how high the risk to mental health can be due to the emotional demands of our jobs. This walk means a lot to me, and I’m proud to be raising awareness and support for such an important cause!

Hi, I’m Amy, and this February I’ll be walking 28 miles to support mental health. Mental health is not just about mental illness. It’s about how we think, feel, cope with stress, relate to others, and make choices. We all have mental health, and just like our bodies, our minds can have good days and difficult ones.

One in four people will experience a mental health challenge at some point in their lives. That means someone sitting next to you, perhaps a friend, a colleague, or even yourself, may be silently struggling. The problem isn’t weakness. The problem is silence.

Hi I'm Sophia and this

February I will be walking 28 miles in aid of supporting mental health. It's something that I believe should be strongly advocated for. Working in the veterinary industry means often seeing people suffering with mental health whether it be clients or clinical staff, however also seeing how much animals benefit mental health is such a lovely thing to see.

In honour of this me and Cali are proud to be part of raising awareness!

Hi I’m ash !

I walking the 28 miles for mental health as it is something that I am very passionate about. I have struggled with anxiety since I was very young and have had to deal with the mental strain of that. Working in the veterinary industry it is mentally staining sometimes but with the support of my friends and family it makes it easier :)!

We’re all really good friends taking part in this challenge. Because we work together, we may be walking separately at times, but we’re doing this as a team, supporting each other whenever and wherever we can. Thank you all so much for your support, it truly means a lot to us.
