I'm taking on 31 Miles this August for Mental Health UK
This August, I'm taking on 31 Miles in August to raise money for Mental Health UK.I'm walking, running or rolling 31 miles throughout the month to help ensure more people can access the mental health support they need, when they need it most.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Mental Health UK continue providing vital services, information and support to people across the UK.
If you're able to, I'd be so grateful if you could sponsor me. Your support will help keep me motivated throughout the challenge and make a real difference to people's lives.
Thank you so much for your support!
My Updates
Why its important to me...
Friday 31st Jul Some see mental health as taboo; they hide their struggles, shame others, and call them attention seekers. It's lonely to stay silent, and shame becomes self-imposed. I believe opening up is crucial; others may be going through the same, understanding and supporting each other. I aim to raise awareness by sharing my story—showing no one is alone.I've struggled with anxiety and depression since my teens. I didn't understand what was happening, only feeling sick, dizzy, and stomach pain when stressed. It was so severe I could hardly move. Back then, help was scarce; I was given medication and a sick note for missing an exam.
As I got older and my mental health worsened, I researched what was happening. The system is broken; mental health services lack funding, and stigma remains.
There are so many people in my life struggling and cant get help because waiting lists are too long or they are not percieved as "bad enough" yet.
This money could really help those in need. This is real and it is happening everywhere!
