Why I am doing this

Thursday 24th Apr

This cause is deeply personal to me.

I’ve watched more than one person I care about struggle with their mental health feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure where to turn, I’ve seen the weight it puts on a person, and how hard it can be to ask for help.

Losing love ones after their battle with  mental health showed me just how invisible mental struggles can be, even in the people who seem the strongest.

I’m fundraising because I don’t want anyone to feel alone in their struggle. Mental health care should be accessible, stigma-free, and supported by a community that cares. The money raised will help fund vital services — therapy, crisis lines, education, and outreach — for those who need it most. We need more awareness and less silence.

This is for the people who are fighting silently. This is for the ones we’ve lost. And this is for hope — because with the right support, things can get better.

If I can help even one person hold on  a little longer, or feel seen in their darkest moment, then this is worth it.

A smile at a stranger could be their reason to keep going for another day.
