GLOW London 2024

Join the Movement: Fundraising for Mental Health UK

Unfortunately even today mental health is still often seen as a "taboo" or stigmatized topic which often is neglected or avoided in conversation. This unfortunately is the reason behind many young people struggling behind closed doors afraid or feeling unable to reach out and take those steps to get help for what they are struggling with. Mental health is a topic which is extremely close to my heart as not only has it effected me but also others who i care deeply about. Therefore this walk is an opportunity for me to stand up to mental health and show the world that it is okay to struggle, it's okay not to be okay and most importantly it's okay to get the help everyone deserves.

The reason i have chose to walk for Mental Health UK specifically is because i admire the work they do and what they stand for. Mental Health UK provide a safe space for those who may not have someone to confide in or don't feel like they are able to speak out directly to someone in their circle. They help to guide people out of a dark place and get back on their feet again. Raising money for this cause is incredibly important to me as i nobody deserves to go through hard times with no help and no hope as to how they are going to get out the other side of their struggles alone.

As well as raising money for such a good cause my main goal is to help end the taboo around talking about your feelings and mental health. I believe the GLOW walk in London will enlighten the streets with positivity and show people that there is always light even in dark times you just need to find it. I really hope this walk can help end the stigma and show people that they always have someone who will be there to care for them even no matter what and that there is ALWAYS help available and i really encourage people to do so it could help save a life.

So please help me spread the word and help one of those many people who suffer in silence daily. Your support is really appreciated either through supporting me in the Glow walk London to raise money for Mental Health UK to help them provide as much help as possible to those who need it, spreading the word about their work or simply being there for someone in need wether that be Friends, Family or even a stranger in need. One conversation can change someone's life.
