I'm taking on the 28 Miles in February challenge!
I'm taking on the
28 Miles in February challenge to celebrate and support Mental Health UK.
I'll be moving 28 miles - whether that's walking, cycling or wheeling - and hoping to raise at least
£100 to help ensure that no one faces mental health problems alone.
At some point in your life you will be visited by the black dog, unfortunately its the one inevitable we've all got in common. But charities like this really are trying to help.
28 miles in 28 days may not seem much to some but over the last few years my mobility, due to fibro, DDD and other health issues, has become really bad and as a result I use a electric walker/rollator or crutch to help me get around. Understandably this has taken its toll on my mental health and over the last year its gotten worse than I ever remember it being.
I will be walking/wheeling with Woody, unless a) the weather is too bad then I will get on exercise bike or b)I'm having a bad fibro/pain day in which case I will make it up as soon as I can.
Every mile I cover and every pound I raise will make a difference to the lives of people affected by mental health problems.
I understand that with the current cost of living crisis and the fact that Christmas was just a few weeks ago means money is ridiculously tight for everyone atm, but if you feel you can spare anything or even share my page it would be greatly appreciated.
Please support me if you can. Together we can make this count.
Good luck, im sure Woody will keep you motivated xx
