Let’s Get Talking!
Sunday 11th MayThis May I’m raising money for Mental Health UK and I wanted to share a bit about why it matters so much to me.
We all have mental health just like we have physical health. But while we talk openly about broken bones or colds, things like burnout, anxiety and depression often get pushed aside or hidden. I’ve seen how easy it is to push through while drowning on the inside. You tell yourself to just get on with it, but that pressure builds up and before you know it, burnout hits.
Shame makes it worse. It tells us we shouldn’t be struggling, that we’re the only ones feeling this way. But the truth is, so many people are silently dealing with the same things.
That’s why talking matters. Opening up, even just a little, can make a massive difference. And that’s exactly what Mental Health UK helps people do: talk, connect and get support when they need it most.
I’d love your support as I try to raise money and awareness this month. Every bit counts, and together we can help make mental health something we do talk about.
Because no one should have to feel like that they have go through it alone!

Another day, another mile!
Monday 5th MayHey everyone,
This May, I’m taking on the 1 Mile a Day Challenge to raise money for Mental Health UK—and I’d love your support.
Why this cause? Because mental health is a real thing, and it’s affecting more of us than we think. According to Mental Health UK, 91% of UK adults felt high or extreme levels of stress in the past year. That’s nearly everyone you know—friends, family, colleagues—maybe even you.
One aspect of mental health is burnout.
Burnout isn’t just “feeling a bit tired.” It’s a crushing mix of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion that builds up over time. You stop feeling like yourself. You disconnect. You struggle to cope. And the worst part? Many people suffer in silence, thinking it’s just part of life, thinking that they can’t ask for help.
That’s why I’m walking, running, cycling, or maybe even dancing, one mile every single day in May to raise awareness and funds so Mental Health UK can continue their incredible work supporting people dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout. They provide real help, practical tools, and life-saving support for those who need it most. Perhaps, one day, to you or someone you know!
This challenge isn’t just about fitness. It’s about making a statement: “mental health matters.”
So if you can, please donate. Every pound makes a difference.

I’m Moving a Mile a Day This May for Mental Health UK!
Sunday 27th AprThis May, I’m taking on the “Move a Mile a Day” challenge to raise money for Mental Health UK – and I’d love your support!
The idea is simple: every day in May, I’ll move at least a mile. Whether that’s a walk, a run, a cycle (or a bit of everything!), I’m getting out there to support an amazing charity that helps people struggling with their mental health.
Mental health is something that touches all of us at some point in some way, shape, or form. Too many people believe they have to suffer in silence; this is why it is so important to talk about it, to support one another, and to make sure help is there when people need it most. Mental Health UK does incredible work making that happen, and I’m proud to be doing a little something to help them.
If you fancy supporting me, you can donate here: https://fundraising.mentalhealth-uk.org/fundraisers/oliverspackman.
Every penny genuinely makes a difference – and if you’re not able to donate, just sharing my page would mean a lot too!
Thanks so much for reading and for any support you can give. Here’s to a month of moving, raising awareness, and making a difference – one mile at a time!
