London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 for Mental Health UK

I'm taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Mental Health UK!

I want to make a difference to people affected by mental health problems. Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. Let's turn awareness into action and create a brighter future for all.

Mental Health UK is dedicated to providing essential support and resources to individuals and families affected by mental health challenges. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, they are at the forefront of driving positive change within the mental health landscape.

Thank for taking the time to visit my page.

By the time this event comes round this will be my 15th Half Marathon (I seem to be doing these for fun now).

If you’re able / want to! Any donations however big or small are very much appreciated! Just follow the link.

Mental health problems can affect the way you think, feel and behave. For some people, these feelings go away naturally without any long-term challenges, but for others like myself, these negative emotions can become worse over time. This can result in a serious mental health condition, such as anxiety or depression, which can have a negative effect on your wellbeing and quality of life. However, mental health conditions are treatable and it's possible for you to make a full recovery. The most important step is to get help!

Mental health issues are more common than you might think. In fact, poor mental health affects more people every year than cancer or heart
disease. Despite these high statistics, there still remains a huge stigma around the subject.

Mental Health UK support people with mental illness - and their carers, family members and colleagues. We believe that by sharing the facts, creating more understanding and talking about how we feel, we can help the nation lead happier, healthier lives.

So if you have any of the following,

*Long-lasting sadness or irritability.

* Extremely high and low moods.

* Excessive fear, worry, or anxiety.

* Social withdrawal.

* Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits.

Don’t be afraid to take that first step and ask for help!

Donating is simple, fast and totally secure.

£10 could help Mental Health Uk answer a call to their advice and information line, supporting someone in need of mental health support.

£20 could allow 50 people access to the Mental Health and Money Advice website where they can find support and resources to improve their financial and mental health.

£30 could help them promote an online support group on Clic, connecting people who may be feeling isolated or experiencing a mental health crisis for the first time.

£50 could provide materials for art therapy sessions, helping people relax and build new friendships.

£100 could help 2 people be part of a peer support group for a year, offering them acceptance and reassurance.
