Purpose
Tuesday 18th FebA year and a half ago, I laced up my running shoes for the first time and discovered how self-soothing running could be. What started as a goal to improve my aerobic fitness soon became a powerful outlet for my mental well-being: a way to find calm, process emotions, and reconnect with myself.
This year, I’m taking on the Paris Marathon to support Mental Health UK, a cause deeply close to my heart. But this run isn’t just about me; it’s dedicated to someone I lost last year. They were one of the most selfless people I’d ever known, always there for others, especially in times of crisis. Their kindness and compassion left a lasting impact, and I want to honor their memory by supporting a charity that helps people through their toughest moments.
By running for Mental Health UK, I hope to raise awareness and funds to support the incredible work they do, providing vital resources, community support, and hope to those in need.
Every mile I run through the streets of Paris will be for my loved one, for everyone affected by mental health challenges, and for the belief that together, we can make a difference.
