OMG I did it!!! 💚

Wednesday 7th May
So proud of myself! I finally completed the 31 miles for Mental Health UK💚 I wasn't feeling well the past couple of days, today more so but I pushed through. I wanted so much to do this, prove to myself I could do this and for me to do something so meaningful. I will continue to walk more miles before the end of May. #MentalHealthMatters

Tuesday 6th May
Was a great day for walking today. Walked somewhere different. Bear loved walking past the fields seeing the rabbits and ducks. Feeling great today!

So Far

Monday 5th May
Its been 5 days and I am past the halfway target! So chuffed with myself! I feel so good knowing I'm doing it all for such a great cause. If I can help at least one person it really has been worthwhile. I think keeping a positive mindset is really giving me a boost. Being in the fresh air and walking really does help my mental health. It feels good to clear my head when it becomes too foggy. Love that my kids are wanting to join me, bit of quality time together. Also our dog Bear is loving the long adventurous walks to new places. Hoping I can raise as much awareness as I possibly can. That is the most important thing, that people who need help with their mental health knows there is people out there who can help, who can provide support and have resources to help them regain control of their mental health. Your not alone xx

Hello,
My name is Laura and I have decided to walk for 'Mental Health UK'. It is a charity I feel is an amazing support for so many people in all different walks of life. 
I have suffered with my mental health for as long as I can remember, Struggling with Depression and Anxiety can be so crippling and debilitating. It can affect your everyday life, in more ways than you can imagine. The support of family/loved ones and friends are always an enormous comfort but sometimes we need to find self soothing ways to try and help ourselves. In the last few years I have found that walking really helps to clear my head. Being in the fresh air and moving makes me feel unburdened and free. Makes me feel good and energised. Its an added benefit when the family like to walk with you also enjoying some quality time together. I am a wife and also a mother to 3 beautiful children whom I am very proud of. 
I decided to help raise money for 'Mental Health UK' because Mental Health does not discriminate and can affect anyone, anywhere at anytime. Sadly some people feel so alone and Don't know where to turn or where to go and unfortunately some people do not have family or friends they can turn to. So I like to hope that in my little contribution it can help raise more awareness for so many people and in turn can provide support, love, care and many resources. I will also be making bakes to help raise awareness and all proceeds with be going towards the total, so please do donate. Anything helps.

In the month of May many people around the UK are helping in many ways, including kindly giving donations. The aim to raise as much awareness as possible and hopefully resources like these can be made available to thousands more people.
