I am taking part in Move it for Mental Health! Please support me and donate today.

Here’s how your donation could help:

  • £5 could keep online resources up-to-date, so that people living with poor mental health who need support with legal problems can access our online letter templates.
  • £10 could print and distribute up to 30 copies of Mental Health UK’s information guide, helping young people to learn about mental health problems and where to find help.
  • £20 could hire a room for 2 hours, giving a new support group the chance to meet for the first time.
  • £30 could pay for a specialist adviser to answer a call from someone living with mental health problems and offer them personalised support and advice.
  • £50 could provide art materials to a support group, helping members participate in a creative activity while building new networks with their peers.

New miles target

Thursday 9th May
As we are 9 days in & already almost at our 31 miles target.
I have decided that we will be completing a new miles target for May!!
Myself & my little companion Hugo will be walking 80 miles over May instead.

My story

Friday 26th Apr
I suffer with a personality disorder and have relied massively on the services that are provided for mental health over the years. 
The support that I have been provided over the past few months by primary & secondary care has been incredible and I would like to take this opportunity to give back and raise as much money as I can. 

Over the last few months due to a relapse I have found it hard to leave the house and to socialise with loved ones, I have become very isolated and a recluse because of my severe anxiety & depression.
Being able to take part in this fundraising gives me something to focus on which will be really good for my mental & physical health. I will face some challenges along the way, however thanks to my 4 legged companions that have got me through some really dark days, I won’t be facing it alone 💗
Unfortunately they both cannot join me on this journey so decided to play ‘rock, paper, scissors’, best of 3. And loser takes part with mumma 👏🤭

So Hugo my Australian labradoodle will be joining me in May and taking part in raising awareness and walking 31 miles to support ‘move it for mental health’ 💗💗
I hope to raise £500.00 in donations. 

Update: 
I have decided to walk more miles over May this is because I am already half way through my target of 31 miles. My new target is 80 miles.
