💛 Why I’m taking on GLOW Birmingham
Monday 6th JulOn 26th September, I’ll be walking 20km (12.4 miles) as part of the GLOW Birmingham Night Walk to raise money for Mental Health UK.
This isn’t just about completing a challenge. It’s about supporting a cause that affects so many people, often in ways we never see.
Like many of us, I’ve had moments where life has felt overwhelming. I’ve learnt that looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health, and that asking for help or simply checking in on someone can make more of a difference than we realise.
Over the next few months I’ll be training, one step at a time, to reach that finish line. There will be early mornings, sore legs and moments where I question myself, but knowing that every step is helping raise awareness and funds for mental health will keep me going.
