Demi Humphrey

I’m Demi I’m 25 and I’m a survivor of complex trauma. Diagnosed with BPD and complex PTSD as a result of what has happened to me in my life I have been on an excruciating journey of trying to heal and recover. I became an addict to alcohol. I became lost and drank myself into oblivion looking for something to cure the never ending pain and knock me out so I don’t need to close my eyes and see fear and remember the past. I am a survivor of abuse and violence. I have decided to make a stand this year as I’m on my own journey and support an incredibly important foundation. Battling with mental health has been painful isolating and lonely. I have always struggled as a little girl to understand why I was so erratic and depressed. I only started to accept it was my body and mind expressing the trauma later on in life. I’ve attempted suicide I’ve hurt myself and I’ve hit walls and broke down. I’m doing this for myself and everyone else who struggles in silence. We hear you we are here for you. The world’s a better place with you in it and remember the dark has to become light in the end. 

Please donate what you can we are currently in a crisis which has led me to only just begin therapy with the nhs after a two year wait. The more we can do the more we can prevent spirals and save people’s lives. Xx
