I’ve decided that this year I’ll be partaking in the 31 Miles in May challenge for Mental Health UK!
In May, I’m doing the Step Challenge we our doing through CRH (work) anyway & through my Wellbeing Champion role at work I’ll be involved in activities for Mental Health Awareness Week - including Wear it Green for Mental Health on the 15th May, so I thought why not combine them & my need to be out experiencing life & seeing the world with this challenge for a good cause!
We all have Mental Health, but we don’t all have poor Mental Health, and it’s increasingly more acceptable to talk about it, but we still have a long way to go! In the last year, I became a Mental Health First Aider & went on my own path to finally dealing with my own struggles - mainly my anxiety.
I haven’t done any challenges that involve fundraising since my walk for Alzheimer’s Society in 2017, because I know money is tight for everyone, but if you can spare a few quid I’d really appreciate it!
1 in 4 people in the UK has experienced a mental health problem. We won’t stop until everyone has the tools they need to live their best possible life.
