Join the Movement: Fundraising for Mental Health UK

Thanks for stopping by my fundraising page for the London Landmark Marathon. I will be running on behalf of Mental Health UK on the 6th April along side my Mum who will be running for NSPCC. 

I am not a runner. Or I wasn't until a random day in 2024 where I decided to just see how far I could run. The result? 4 minutes before I had to stop. 4 minutes. It was pathetic. At 31, I should be fitter and stronger than that. So a few days later I tried again and got a little further, then a little further before I was fully addicted and signing up for a half marathon. 

Choosing a charity wasn't easy, there are so many great causes out there but I wanted to run for something personal to me. I don't think I know a single person who hasn't been affected by mental health, myself included. 2024 marked 10 years since I was diagnosed with Bulima, an illness and addiction it has taken me years to control. 

My close family have also been badly affected by the struggled of mental health conditions in 2024 and the limited support available has put a strain on everyone involved. I'm running to help create more support, more awareness and more money for these under supported services. Without Mental Health UK, so many more people would be alone and struggling by themselves. 

So please, support me and Mental Health UK to raise money and provide better support services for everyone who I'd affected by mental health. We can do this!
