Walking 31 Miles in May for Mental Health Awareness – Why This Journey Matters to Me
Tuesday 13th MayThis May, I’ve proudly taken on the 31 Miles in May challenge with Mental Health UK as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 and I’m so excited to share why this cause is incredibly close to my heart.
As International Junior Miss Surbiton, I’m constantly looking for ways to use my title to make a difference. Mental health is something that affects every one of us, directly or indirectly and I believe it’s time we stop whispering about it and start walking for it—literally!
So far, I’ve walked 20 miles and every step has been a reminder of how important it is to keep the conversation around mental wellbeing alive. Whether it’s been a peaceful solo walk in the park or a stroll shared with friends and family, I’ve used these moments to reflect, recharge and raise awareness.
I’m walking the remaining miles throughout the rest of the month to show support for everyone facing mental health challenges and to remind people that they are never alone.
If you’d like to support the cause, join in, donate or simply share the message, every action counts. Let’s walk together to make a difference. One mile at a time.
