Why I'm doing the 31 miles
Sunday 6th Apr
This May, I’ve decided to take on the challenge of walking (or running) 31 miles to raise awareness and funds for mental health. It’s more than just a fitness goal—it’s something deeply personal.
There was a time in my life when I struggled with my own mental health. I faced days where even getting out of bed felt impossible. I didn’t always understand what I was going through, and for a while, I kept it all to myself, thinking I had to just "get on with it." But over time, I learned the importance of speaking up, reaching out, and taking care of my mind just like I would my body.
I’m doing this challenge for those who are still silently fighting battles no one sees. For those who feel like they’re alone—because I’ve been there, and I know it can get better. Mental health matters, and it’s something we should all be talking about more.
Every mile I complete this May is for a purpose. To show strength in vulnerability, to encourage open conversations, and to help raise money for services that support people when they need it most.
If you can, please support me on this journey. Whether it's by donating, sharing, or simply checking in with a friend—every bit counts.
We’re in this together.
