31 Miles in May: Move it for Mental Health 2024

We're fundraising for better future for individuals with Mental Health

Our Organisation are aiming to raise awareness around mental health for our individuals we work with and staff who’s lives have been changed by mental illness. We want people to understand how important it is not to give up on someone with mental illness. If we change ‘I’ to ‘We’ then illness becomes wellness. We are hoping to raise money to improve local services that provide support and inclusivity for individuals with mental illness.

We will be starting a new intervention “Wellbeing Wednesday” which will involve yoga and Zen for our residents and staff to share the importance of engaging in movement and relaxation to improve well being. We will finish off the Movement for Mental Health with a ‘Move it at the beach front’ event which we will showcase various ways of how people can engage in movement and exercise in and around the Porthcawl area.
